- KEY-FRAME CONCEPT ART:  Shot context concept art, such as establishing shots and key storytelling shots within a sequence. ‘keyframe concept art’ generally seeks to pre-visualise these cinematic moments as dynamic and compelling photoreal still frames that serve to define and map out the main visual-beats of the narrative. "A picture is worth more then a thousand words"!

-  POST-VISUAL-DEVELOPMENT:  After filming and once plates are shot, as an alternative to the otherwise inefficient process of visual-development shuffling back and forth between 3d, dmp, comp departments. Post-Visual-Development fast-tracks iterations to arrive at sets of photoreal still images that directly provides everyone with a ‘clear picture’ literally, of exactly where shots should be heading for final.

- CONCEPT / PRODUCTION DESIGN: Design and visualisation of characters, creatures, vehicles, architecture, in fact, everything in the world in which the storytelling is based.

- 3D & DMP ENVIROMENT VFX SHOTS:  Utilising extensive experience, skills and techniques to create photoreal VFX set-extensions and environments for VFX, Virtual Production, XR and Cinematics.

- SHOT DESIGN, TECH-VIS,  PRE-VIS & POST-VIS:  From drawn story panels, through technical schematics to virtual cinematography. I work in traditional or digital 2d media, 3d in Maya or 3d & Realtime in Unreal Engine 5 with cg camera rigs using accurate film-back/sensor, lens info, etc. From this I produce sets of compositional stills or image sequences. Through iteration, feedback and interactive sessions, arriving at approved versions that inform both live-action and vfx shot integration prior to filming. More recently this process of interactive rehearsal and cinematography has become more seamless and immersive with the advent of Virtual Production and XR.
